Live game · Stonefold · Round 5 Selected kingdom: +3 per round · 32 gold
A live Dominex match on Stonefold with six colored kingdoms, upgraded units, and a selected green kingdom showing net income and banked gold
The white border marks one connected kingdom. Its land earns locally; its army is paid locally.

How it plays

One border can change three kingdoms

Territory is local: connected land shares money and protection. A single capture can grow your income, join two of your kingdoms, or split a rival's economy apart.

1

Claim or connect

Take productive land for income, or bridge two territories so they become one larger kingdom with one shared position.

2

Cut a rival apart

Break the narrow link between enemy territories and the pieces no longer share one treasury or one defensive network.

3

Buy what can survive

Stronger units cross tougher borders, but every kingdom pays its own upkeep. Buy one upgrade too many and next round's bill can undo the advance.

4

Commit when ready

Move, inspect, undo, and reconsider during your turn. End it when the position is sound, then adapt as five computer rivals answer.

Win by eliminating every rival or controlling all land — and think it through first: undo and redo are yours until you end the turn.

A real move from Stonefold, Round 5

A border is an economic decision

This green kingdom spends 10 gold to recruit directly onto one legal blue border hex. The new unit claims the link, changes the kingdom's upkeep, and cuts a 13-hex rival territory into two disconnected pieces.

Questions

Frequently asked

What can I play for free?

All six hand-crafted core maps, one of the six new daily maps, four difficulty levels, saving, undo and redo, and the guided first game. You do not need an account, a card, or a subscription.

Do I need experience with strategy games?

No. A guided first game teaches on the board, one decision at a time. Start on Casual while you learn the economy and unit progression, then move up when you want stronger opposition. The full How to Play guide is always available.

Where can I play Dominex?

Play in a modern browser on your phone, tablet, or computer, or install the web app for a full-screen experience and offline play after it has been cached. A native app is also available for iPhone and iPad. Premium purchases are available only in that native iOS app.

Is Dominex multiplayer?

No — Dominex is single-player by design. You face five AI rivals across four difficulty levels, from Casual to Legend, so every map is a full six-faction contest with no matchmaking and no waiting for another turn.

Can I stop in the middle of a match?

Yes. Dominex saves the current match on your device and resumes it when you return. There are no turn timers, so you can leave after a move or think as long as you like.

Can I play offline?

Yes, after installing. Add Dominex to your home screen as a full-screen web app; once it has been installed and cached, you can play away from a connection. The day's six maps are generated on your device, so one new free choice is still ready without Wi-Fi.

What happens if I mis-tap?

Undo and redo are available throughout your turn, so you can recover a slip or explore a different line before committing. Once you end the turn, the move stands.

How much does Premium cost?

Premium is a single lifetime purchase — no subscription. The current price is shown in the iOS app, where the purchase is completed.

Can I make my own maps?

You can try the built-in editor in your browser and draw a 35 × 24 battlefield from scratch or start from a Core or classic bundled map, with validation and preview as you work. Premium in the iPhone and iPad app lets you save the map and play it against the same five rivals.
