Your kingdom stays yours

Dominex is built local-first. There are no accounts, no advertising, and no third-party analytics. This policy explains the small amount of data involved in running the game, and the one case where any of it leaves your device.

The short version

Your matches, favorites, preferences, and custom maps are stored on your device and stay there.
We do not ask for your name, email address, or any account.
There are no ads, no third-party analytics, and no tracking across apps or websites.
If you buy Premium in the iOS app, an anonymous purchase record is processed so your unlock works and can be restored. That is the only data collection in Dominex.

What stays on your device

Everything you make in Dominex is stored locally: saved matches and their history, daily-map progress, favorites, settings such as difficulty and board palette, and any maps you create with the editor. This data is never uploaded and we cannot see it. Deleting the app (or clearing the browser's site data for the web version) removes it permanently — there is no cloud copy to restore from.

Premium purchases in the iOS app

Premium is a one-time purchase made through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment itself; we never receive your payment details.

To deliver the unlock and let you restore it later, the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase-management service. RevenueCat processes your purchase history — the record that Premium was bought, under a randomly generated identifier. This data is used for app functionality (recognizing and restoring your purchase) and for aggregate analytics (understanding overall sales). It is not linked to your identity, and it is not used for tracking. This matches the app's privacy disclosure on the App Store.

The website and web app

Like any website, our hosting provider processes standard technical information — such as your IP address and the pages requested — in transient server logs in order to deliver the site securely. We do not use this information to identify or profile you, and the site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. Once the web app is installed and cached, it runs on your device and can be played offline.

Children

The same rules apply to everyone: Dominex does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If our data practices change — for example, if we ever add optional cloud saves — we will update this page and revise the effective date above before the change takes effect.
